Shahrukh and his rab ne
Yesterday I was watching this bollywood flick ‘rab ne bana di jodi’. I was amazed to find out how unwatchable Shahrukh Khan was in this movie. Not that I have not been a Shahrukh fan, but of course I am not a blind fan. I fail to believe that so many people in this country still want to see him as a hero. I cannot wait to watch how long can this rhetoric of Shahrukh movie saga can continue to earn money. He invariably resorts to create vain hypes around his movie along with his colleagues/other beneficiaries aka Thakreys, media, other politicians etc. 'My name is khan' being the most recent instance. The whole case turns out to be a classic example of mutual cooperation to loot collective money. I think the reason is that there is too much of media control these days. They disallow you think of anything independently. They simply refuse to show even the name of newcomers/ prettier talent who fail to produce some rotten masala for them. All I see is Amitabh and family, Shahrukh, shiv sena/ raj T and Saifina. I am so bored of these people and I don’t know what to do about them.

So here I am raising my voice against this “emosonal” atyachaar. Had I been in college, I would have cried on their faces our dear old slogan “ek do teen chaar band karo yeh atyachar” (for hindi disabled…the line urges to stop blackmail). I cannot believe things were so simple in those good old days. (ohh how much I long for them... tch tch)
Anyway, I was stating a simple fact that I being a girl, am in full right to discuss about the hero’s looks and his acting skills. Forgive me when I say that I did not like his acting too in this movie. Besides his extinct cheeks and bony face in this movie, all I could find were a super rubbish story, a zero chemistry with the actress (with face so full of cheeks ironically) and some over dramatic gestures from Srk.

I have a feeling that over the years Srk has given some very clichéd performances and yet these were never criticized by the junta/critics because of the over statement of his stature by the media. The practice is fairly common in media. For example, the other day, some news channels talked about Amitabh Bacchan, framing him as God, no wonder he stood in disbelief and uninterested state when they blabbed around.
I need a cup of tea now. Chit chat about my sufferings can continue later.
