few things....

Its been a long time since i have written anything abstract. I have been strangled by the various people and systems associated. I have been thinking of writing about my learnings at ISB but my list got modified everyday. It seems that i tend to underestimate my learning most of the time. It only occurs to me when I see what others have to offer. I have learnt the following fascinating things in last one year:

1. make good ppts
2. managing teams and power and politics courses
3. finance jargon
4. marketing jargon 
5. how to read economic times and not fall asleep
6. Prepare resume
7. Meet different people and try to establish some random connection with them
8. Eat biryani in 40 percent of the normal meals and 100 percent meals at restaurants
9. maintain relations over phone 
10. party at 5 am

(I have learnt not only how to build but also to break connections when required, even though I don't like doing it.)
As we can see, this is definitely a diversified list. Thus, we can conclude that ISB is really an awesome place to be. Everybody studies so hard that frankly, the  measuring meters break down (specially loud fact in placement season). People outside the system wonder what is there to learn in management but I think there is, at least in terms of attitude.

I think obsession is good, specially in the placement season. So in the beginning it was networking but right now it is growth and money. Well, growth means more money in future. So essentially it is the money. And then there are our placement guys, whose incentives are aligned to wrong parameters. But they work really hard so I will not say much.
I know that this is abrupt closure of the post...but thats how my mind works
