Chandigarh….the place of happily ever after
Chandigarh is annoying. The traffic, bungalows, parks, and shopping walkways are unlike anywhere else in India. South is clean but the traffic turns down everyone claims to such fame. Delhi has decent roads but traffic system, security and shameful parks for public etc.. make too many factors against it. Moreover, Delhi has thousand other problems which i don’t want focus and spoil my mood with right now.
The parks need a serious mention too. Everyone knows about few big ones such as rock, rose etc. but what is more intriguing is that the small jogging gardens here and there, have small ponds, bridges, hillocks, green lushes and beautiful bunches flowers, all managed at 42- 45 degree Celsius temperature and one atm pressure.
Bungalows are ridiculous too. They have trees like conifers in the garden, now, I have no idea how the f*** did they do that. They have big parking for at least two cars, be it Honda or audi or the two of our most prestigious ones, maruti. Bungalows have big porches and a garden too. The interior is perfect with lamps and nice little plants in pots placed here and there.
Traffic design is excellent too. You may drive decently if you are pleased to do so. Possibility of pedestrian green lights, bus’ lays and separate lanes, more practical speed limits, beautiful roundabouts, cheap and spacious public parking, and broad footpaths are a few things which enable a ‘civilization‘ to flourish.
Yesterday, taxi driver told me that he wanted to be in Police, but he was rejected in medical exam. He also mentioned that there was no way he could game the system because well, it was Chandigarh. However, he was a star otherwise.
If you check cursorily then it looks so unreal and unlike rest of India. The place has been developed for future. It looks and means to be like a capital of state. It seriously means to be is happily ever after.
