Freewill: is it or is it not?
I have been contesting the idea of free will with my mother since quite some time. I have emerged victorious as we have come to an agreement on the following.
Freewill exists.
But before we go for celebrations about that, we need to identify the fact that life is never without its problems. These are available in all sizes and shapes, minor problem, major problem, life excruciating problem, sweet lovely problem, temporary problem, forever problem etc.
So freewill comes into play here. All of us seem to have some-to-significant say in what problem we choose to handle in life. For example: major problem or minor constant flowing type of problem or any other type of problem, since there is, as I already mentioned, a wide variety of it.
In fact, some people are more 'freewilly' than others which means they enjoy problems and they keep inviting them, unknowingly of course. For example, they will indulge in fighting with their very own bosses, fighting with fellow drivers on road, fighting with spouse for not switching off the light herself, or even with themselves by enforcing thousand disciplinary rules in life.
Best cases of freewill exercise is when people create problems out of religions, rules of public governance, or money. I call it best examples because these things were created to add to comfort and peace in life. But these have become contentiously the largest sources of problems in current times.
We have been creative and found out other uses of freewill, but this is what we had settled for last time we discussed with God. Requests for its use in other matters are still in His pending files somewhere.
Hope prevails!
