Global Warming and The Good times
So they tell us that temperature is going up. This statement couldn't have caused any real hue and cry in the world, since lot of fools exist. So they further explained the dangers ahead. if the temperature goes up, lot of ice sitting on this and that end of the world will have to melt.
World has to be explained further.
So they describe, if ice melts it converts into water. Water has to join the other water bodies lying here and there. Thus water level goes up, may be by say, 1 or 2 inch - their volume calculations I haven't checked.
The story ends by full and final declaration of threat of sinking cities.
New York sinking? Obviously world leaders must meet to understand what this devil could be.
I totally completely believe the story, if not for its 100% accuracy, surely for the thrill and the tragedy angle that it has got. I mean it took so much of effort for the world's best guys to build New York and other mediocre people's average efforts to build some other cities of this world where you can find stuff like ...... ? well, I don't know, I live in Delhi you see.

These people are weather guys. These guys have always been looked as, I am sorry to say, but like silly bunch of people incapable of developing their science. They have a valid point, weather is moisture, air and temperature. None of these is easy to tackle, leave alone combination.
However with this master stroke, weather guys did the best thing they have done to themselves in a hundred years. They come to the center of all the attention of this world. Since that day, every weather guy has been interviewed.
When chemical industry will get that elixir- ist theory of this age, I will wear blue black suit on my interview day and mind it, it shall be aired exclusively on BBC.
