Facebook ka punchnama
There was a time when we all started with Orkut...in my younger days. Scraps, testimonials and pictures was all so exciting and was viewed as lifeline affair. Then facebook came and life continued to be OK. Timeline concept came and it was still OK. People shared jokes, mahaan sayings, entertainment. Office was bearable with facebook tunneling.
Then slowly, facebook became a place of few things which are making it not so OK. Share to contribute for social cause, biwi, bacche, even honeymoon pics - may be i have become too unsocial to enjoy this type of sharing. I do not know of what this platform has become a tool, a window to personal lives of people, and I fail to see how this entertains me.
People visit neighborhood to Timbaktoo, they want 500+ contacts to view the pictures and like it. Also, since this is THE age of my generation, everyday there are new wedding pictures. Few are also having babies. Few others, babies have grown old to play and do photogenic activities. Due to the mad number of connections that I have, I see people getting married on my facebook and I figure my memory is failing me... sometimes I do not recognize either of the faces in the pic. Strangely enough sometimes somehow, it shows me pictures of people out of my network too in same pose.
In all probability, this looks like the end of my facebook stint. All entertainment sources seem delusional: radio, TV, bollywood movies, and facebook too. I am missing "that" which makes life interesting.
Blog is a true vent. Hope this will last.
P.S. Ironically, I want to share this post on facebook for the benefit of facebook veterans.
