My Love-Hate Relationship with Modi ji

Today I saw an article in Business standard about an interview with Vinod Sahasrabuddhe advocating the government policies. I must say i was happy since i did not know this name and I wondered if finally government has won itself few admirers outside itself. But it was once again coming from one of the two sects who have always been supporter of Mr Modi - RSS and Corporate. I am from corporate so i can tell that corporates are bunch of people working very hard to create what they call vibrant economy.

But RSS? I  know that it is also another nice set of people but I cannot say more than that about them. Sadly, I am liberal about my views of life and specially religion. RSS people argue that they are the most misunderstood people on earth, but guys just look at yourself and review your statements in press. I have this huge trouble tying religion and capitalism - perhaps i am not smart enough as all other mad Modi fans (MMFs). I have earned really bad reputation in my circle just because I am not a MMF, to the extent people even think that I am not a true Indian. I have heard that Gandhi also tied Politics and religion. Many did not like that then too.

One of issues of people of this culture is somehow women are viewed in a way that I do not seem to appreciate much. Of course, then there are questions around freedom of faith, patronizing wine or eating beef. When the economy becomes more progressive, controlling faith and lifestyle is a stupid agenda that doesn't tie well.

It is my dream to see a society which has capitalism and freedom to pursue interests of our own. Government should rather focus on basics that they are suppose to provide including sewage, water and power. Oops, does this priority sound familiar to those of other new politicians in town?
